Texas Tech is fortunate to have world class cellist Jeffrey Lastrapes on faculty at its school of music. He holds degrees from the two of the finest music institutions in the country (The Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School of Music) and yet remains humble, funny, and gracious. Mr. Lastrapes and his wife, Susanna, are also founders of the non-profit Caerus Ensemble, which offers therapeutic musical opportunities for audiences around Lubbock. Here is a link to some pictures I took of them for the Caerus Ensemble a couple of years ago.

Lubbock, Texas Senior Portrait Photographer ~ Lubbock High School Senior ~ Duncan

Duncan recently graduated from Lubbock High School with accodales. He was the student body president, the junior class president, an Eagle Scout, the Homecoming King, a cross country star, and a top student.  He will follow in his father's and brother's footsteps by attending Texas A&M in the fall. Catherine is a super star. She has a beautiful voice (won 1st place at a National Association of Teacher's [NATS] of Singing Regional Competition), a beautiful mind (an A+ student all around...I know, because she was my aural skills student), and is a beautiful person. She truly has the whole package. She will be graduating from Texas Tech this week with highest honors in vocal performance and French. In the fall, she is headed to Manhattan School of Music where she will continue her studies in vocal performance. I expect great things from Catherine and am happy to share her senior pictures:

It was such a joy to photograph Ms. Smith. I've known her for many years now--she actually lives in another town now, but got to come back to Lubbock for a friend's wedding and I got to catch up with her and take her pictures. Since graduating from Texas Tech, Ms. Smith has earned a Master's Degree in violin at the University of Houston. She is incredibly talented and a joy to know.
